Bouncing Statistics is a local community company that exists to support and develop young people in Birmingham to ‘bounce statistics’ and achieve greatness despite any adversities, stereotypes or barriers they have to overcome.

As a school the values that the company promote are very much in line with our school values. Whilst we recognise the challenges faced by some of our children both at home and at school, we both share the same ambition for all children so that they can let their light shine and become confident, resilient and successful. These children work with a Bouncing Statistic mentor each week, who offer support through ‘The Shining Light programme’ which provides children with the skills and experiences that are vital for everyday life in pursuit of their targets and goals so that they can be the best that they can be.

Mentoring sessions are delivered to children as individual sessions as well as supporting them in building confidence to adopt skills and strategies within a classroom environment.

As well as working with children during the school day, our mentors also run after-school clubs and holiday clubs for groups of children where they get the opportunity to interact in a safe, nurturing environment, further build confidence, improve wellbeing and importantly have fun.
